It’s curious how people can’t understand why one form of the revival, public meetings 24/7, stopped but that is not an indicator that passion for Christ in the community has diminished.

We are a community that experiences a regular rhythm of times of extraordinary focus on seeking God and then the ordinary flow of doing the work that God has called and gifted us to do.

Some people, who are basically religious sensualists, only want the extraordinary all the time. They don’t have the steadfast spirit to do the ordinary work of teaching, studying, emptying the trash, driving the school bus, and seeing those as expressions of revival. They live in a dichotomy of extraordinary (good) and ordinary (bad). They want to build little tent chapels up on the mountain and never go down.

But in this community, we do not suffer from that dichotomy. We know the rhythm and pace of moving from intense focus to daily service, each serving the other in its way.
