The Verb
A Spanish translation of John 1:1 reads, “En el principeo era el Verbo, y el Verbo era con Dios, y el Verbo era Dios.”
Translated literally, it comes to us in English as “In the beginning was the Verb, and the Verb was with God, and the Verb was God.”
Let’s you and me take a big gulp of that today.
Or even swim around in it: “In the beginning was the Verb, and the Verb was with God, and the Verb was God.”
