Who Saves Who?
“Suddenly now,” says Ben Stone on Manifest S3E7, “I have very little faith in us saving ourselves.”
Same here. Except for the “suddenly” part.
I know me. All too well.
Long ago I read that —-
God in Christ saved us,
not because of what we had done,
but according to his great mercy.
Titus 3:5
and that
By grace you have been saved through faith,
and this is not of your own doing:
it is the gift of God, not a result of works,
so none of us can boast.
Ephesians 2: 8, 9
