Sufficient into the day are the blessings thereof.
—- Seems to me that many of those hearing him would have known about manna and the impossibility of storing it (Exodus 16, Numbers 11). They would have also known of God‘s mercies being new every morning (Lamentations 3:23)
We seem to have forgotten both.
