Since we have these proofs and the light of faith, how could we ever doubt the resurrection, which we have heard from God’s Word and seen and felt with the eyes and hand of the apostles?
— I love Easter.
Some friends insist on calling it Resurrection Sunday. Fine with me.
It’s all just shorthand for so much more than words could ever say…you know, words like Christmas, Good Friday, and Easter.
As our brother from 16 centuries ago wrote, “how could we ever doubt the resurrection” when that’s been our experience? And not just after death, either.
So yeah, I love Easter.
And what the liturgical part of The Church calls The Easter Season.
Because “if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith… your faith is futile; you are still in your sins” (—1 Corinthians 15:14, 17).
