BONUS BLOG: Your Pastor

I’m grateful to Julie Regennitter for the following, and she graciously gave her permission to share it with you here —

Your Pastor has never pastored a church through a Pandemic before.

If your church opens during this pandemic, people are going to say it should have closed. If it closes, people are going to say it should have opened.

If your pastor shakes hands, people are going to say your pastor has faith. If your pastor shakes hands, people are going to say your pastor is foolish.

Your pastor is going to make some difficult decisions to protect the flock, considering everything from your spiritual growth to legal liabilities that you aren’t even thinking about.

I know, because I pastor an amazing group of people. Your pastor probably believes the same about you and your church: amazing people.

Remember this:
No one wants things to go well at church as much as your pastor. Your pastor needs your prayers and support right now. And although you can’t touch your pastor currently, give an air high 5.
