I Need an Angel Like That
An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. (Luke 2:9)
In a greasy-spoon coffee shop long ago and far away, a well-seasoned saint told me —-
“Really bothers my brother, all that in the Bible about the angel scaring them shepherds.
“But I kinda like it, ya know?
“It means angels ain’t no pansies.
“And I need an angel like that.”
