Smell That?
Every so often someone will hug me.
Okay…so I’m as apt to start a hug as anybody else.
Sometimes after a hug, I notice a fragrance from someone has stuck with me.
Might be body spray, after shave, cologne, perfume, or “eau de whatever.”
It lingers.
It’s nice.
Makes me wonder about what you and I might be leaving in our wake.
St. Paul’s idea was this —
God uses us to spread
the aroma of the knowledge
of Christ everywhere.
— That’s from 2nd Corinthians 2:14. And that’s amazing.
After we’ve touched someone, be that literally or figuratively, the aroma of the knowledge of Christ is what should linger.
Everywhere.
May it be so today!
