Beyond YOLO

“You only die once, but you live everyday.”

So goes a line that surfaces in a lotta places; it’s even in an adaptation of a Charlie Brown and Snoopy cartoon.

I really like that line: “You only die once, but you live everyday.”

This is not the time or place to get into what The Second Death might be; this is about everyday life.

And I wind up where I’ve been before, swimming in Psalm 118 —

This is God’s work.
We rub our eyes—we can hardly believe it!
This is the very day God acted—
let’s celebrate and be festive!
Salvation now, God. Salvation now!
Oh yes, God—a free and full life!

— By the grace of God, you and I “only die once, but (we) live everyday” —- may it be   “a free and full life!”
