For Rest
By the seventh day
God had finished his work.
On the seventh day
he rested from all his work.
God blessed the seventh day.
He made it a Holy Day
Because on that day he rested from his work

Today I’m thankful for rest.
Even though I’m not very good at it.
My dissertation advisor said there will always be more to do…just one more edit…there’s that paragraph that needs not even a re-write, just a quick touch-up…and ya know what, as long as I have this open onscreen here….but NO.
God took a break, says Genesis 2:2-4.
So can we.
Today I’m thankful for Sabbath, thankful for time to rest.
