When Something Changes
Yesterday in Disciplines 18, J. Michael Ripski wrote of a church he knows.
The pastor and lay leaders of this church discussed what to do if an African American showed up at a Sunday Service.
They decided to let that person stay and worship, but to not invite her/him to join.
Then he hits a home run: “Today an African American pastor serves that church.” Things like that remind me that God’s still in business.
In John 17:21a, Jesus prayed for and about us, saying, I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one — as you are in me, Father, and I am in you.
Psalm 133:1 is clear: How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!
Let’s.
Amen?
