God’s Earth Day 2018
“Some of our best friends have fur.”
Wish I’d written that.
Wish I’d seen that on a church sign.
Wish I’d used that in a Service of the Blessing of The Pets. There’s always next time.
“Some of our best friends have fur” is a line from an ad for a senior residence center.
Frequently in churches I’ve served we called today “God’s Earth Day.” As followers of Christ Jesus, we stand firmly on John 3:16‘s “God so loved all of creation.”
As people who try to be faithful stewards of all that is, like Psalm 8 directs us, why aren’t we leading the way in these things?
“Some of our best friends have fur.”
