What Difference Does Forgiveness Really Make?

Late yesterday I came upon this in Disciplines 2017, page 349. It seems a most fitting conclusion to my brief series on forgiveness these past couple of days —

When we can say that we’re sorry then we can be forgiven.

When we can be forgiven,

we can forgive.

When we can forgive,

we can experience restored relationships.

Restored relationships foster love,

which brings life to God’s community!

— As Christ Jesus said to conclude a discussion in Luke 10:37, “Go thou and do likewise.”
