Some Saints

February 24, 2017

China Isler recently shared this , and it’s with her gracious permission that I share it with you —

Some saints smell like roses.

And some of us smell like brimstone and smoke.

While many saints exist in the processional, ritual, and the piety of cathedrals, some are sent to the very gates of Hell. Be careful how you judge others.

Though their vestments may not match the liturgical calendar or be clean enough to enter the halls of stain glass, they may be a
Saint to the Misfits, the outcasts, the weirdos, a Champion of the Underdog, the sinner, the addict and a Servant to the beaten, the discouraged, and disinherited and a Friend to the damned, the forgotten, and the lost.

Some saints smell like roses.

Some smell like smoke.

Don’t judge either.
