For All the Saints

All Saints’ Day is officially November 1st, so we’re celebrating it today in worship.

One of my favorite times on the church calendar for a lotta reasons.

Maybe the primary one is because by the grace of God and faith in Christ we can all be saints. Right now. Already.

On this side of eternity.

That’s why those letters in The New Testament start out “To the saints gathered together at (Wherever).”

Maybe another reason is this song:

For all the saints,

who from their labors rest,

Who Thee by faith

before the world confessed,

Thy name, O Jesus,

be forever blest!

Alleluia, Alleluia!
