Who’s Waiting on Whom?

May 9, 2016

In his book Finding GodChristian psychologist Larry Crabb says that many of us Christians see ourselves as the center of the universe.

Further, we act like God exists only to make us happy and comfortable.

He even goes so far as to say that we treat God like a “specially attentive waiter.” We give God our orders. We may even tip God for good service. But we sure complain when we don’t get exactly what we wanted.

Enough already! I don’t need to look too far to see what he means.

And I sure don’t need to name someone famous as an example. Too many of my own prayers prove me guilty.

You, too?
