A Week Before This April Fools Day

Today is April Fools Day.

One week ago today was Good Friday. A lot of Christians had a special time of worship. Our Scriptures and songs had a clear focus: the Cross of Christ.

April Fools Day is a good time to remember that not everyone’s on board yet. The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. (1st Corinthians 1:18)

Amid the fun of April Foolishness, join the rest of us in praying and working for an increase the number of us are being saved.

  1. Easter of 2017 falls on April 1st. I am so looking forward to it. Why? Cause it is so fitting for the joke God pulled on Satan. I am smiling now in anticipation.

    1. Ohhhh , Karen, absolutely perfect!!!

  2. 2001 was the last time I took what I thought was an April’s Fool joke frivolously. My kids learned from the best and I learned from the best (my dad) the art of the April’s Fool. On April 1, 2001, I got a call from my pregnant daughter (due mid-April) and she said, “He’s here. I just had the baby about an hour ago!” Like I said, my response was “April Fool!!?” But it wasn’t, and every April’s Fool Day, Hunter Ryan’s birthday makes it clear to me not all foolish delights are jokes.
