Can’t We?
“Everybody was against somebody or some place, but not enough people were for anybody or any place.”
That’s how the New York Times summarized the 1924 Democratic National Convention.
That’s also how we who are Christ’s Holy Church present ourselves too often.
“Nobody knows what we’re for only what we’re against when we judge the wounded,” sings the Christian band Casting Crowns.
By the grace of God, we can do better.
