Barenaked Ladies & Sarah McLachlan & You
Cheryl Richardson is an author, speaker, etc., whose work I enjoy. She posted this a couple of days ago, and sure fits with the Christmas in July mindset you and I had the same couple of days ago with our Ann Weems poem —-
“I was having a meltdown in the middle of stalled traffic. So here’ s what I did instead: I played Christmas music and started singing.
“Trust me, it’s hard to feel stressed and angry while belting out God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen with Barenaked Ladies and Sarah McLachlan at the top of your lungs in the middle of summer traffic.”
— May you find that same kind of refreshment today, and I’ll see you back here tomorrow!
Love it! Me, I used to keep a book in the car for the Poplar Street (Parking Lot as I affectionately called it) Bridge and drive-thru establishments I frequented for $1 large iced teas.
