“Study and meditate. Listen to God’s leading.”
When she said that Annual Conference during our Retirement Service, some shifted uncomfortably.
“Listen to God’s leading.”
We’re people who like to get things done. We can plan and carry out a ton of ministries.
But God doesn’t call us to be busy; God calls us to be faithful.
The Resurrected Christ did not tell St. Peter to “amuse my sheep” but to “feed my sheep.” (John 21:17)
“Listen to God’s leading.”
Maybe the best thing some of us, myself included, can do today is to hear The Supreme Ruler of The Universe say, “Be still and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)
As Rev. Linda said, “Listen to God’s leading.”
