The Jud Version of Psalm 23
Judson Souers is a retired colleague and so much more to me. It’s with his kind permission that I share his version of a key part of Psalm 23 as he recently experienced and expressed it —
Even though I must walk
through the Valley of (death) Despair,
I’m not afraid
because I know you’re with me
and your (shepherd’s crook) arm is around me
and I feel secure.
The beauty and power of your LOVE pursues me
all the days of my life
and I will dwell
in the house of the Lord, FOREVER.
Amen, Jud, amen.
