Yesterday was Another Wonderful Wednesday

We call them Wonderful Wednesdays.

During Advent and Lent we get ready Christmas and Easter respectively.

Part of that preparation include two opportunities to gather on Wednesdays for worship during the weeks leading up to those two major Christian holidays.  In the space of half an hour, we sing, pray, read Scripture and think together about what that day’s text means.  We start at 12:15 and 6:15, lunchtime and dinnertime, and are out in 30 minutes or less.

These past two weeks we’ve enjoyed and been challenged by the messages of Carol and Linda, two of our church’s own Certified Lay Servants/Speakers. Pastor Leanne and I are grateful to have them on our preaching team. It’s been my honor to be their worship leader.

There are a lot of reasons we call these half-hour services of divine worship Wonderful Wednesdays, and Carol and Linda are two of them.
