It’s Your Choice
David Sedaris tells a story he heard from a guide on a hike.
She told the group to imagine a four-burner stove.
“One burner represents your family, one is your friends, the third is your health, and the fourth is your work.
“In order to be successful you have to cut off one of your burners. And in order to be really successful you have to cut off two. It’s your choice.”
True/False?
Depends upon your definition of success. In order for the statement to be true, you have to have a pretty messed up idea of success – one which, unfortunately, too many people subscribe to.

Thank you, Willie, glad you’re reading and Commenting here.
Maybe the key for some of us is knowing when to turn up the heat and when to back off, and on which burners at what time.
Some of us have tried to have everything going full blast all the time, and that’s a quick way to burn down the house.
