As Good as Yadi

July 10, 2014

“Let people of every age know that you respect what they bring to the job,” writes Jason.

He markets himself to the business world as “The Gen Y Guy,” and is among today’s leading keynote speakers and best-selling authors.

Jason Dorsey continues, “Every person brings different strengths.”

You and I know that, right?

And we certainly appreciate his advice to be sure that “people of every age know that you respect what they bring to the job,” right?

Then why do we forget both things so easily?

Our St. Louis Cardinals would be a horrible team if every player were a catcher, even if they were all as good as Yadi.

Comparably, our work teams, families, churches, etc., would all be the poorer if everybody was like us and did what we do.

St. Paul wasn’t kidding when he wrote in Romans 12 about the significance of the body having so many different parts.  Much of the significance is in the difference.

Or as Jason puts it, “Let people of every age know that you respect what they bring to the job.  Every person brings different strengths.”

How many people, of how many ages, will you let know of your respect today?
