The Message version
On this Independence Day in the USA, the first part of this verse is a good reminder of something even deeper.
Or is it something that’s over-arching?
Or is it the solid foundation on which this phenomenal thing called “freedom” stands?
Or….
Or is it, sadly, something we take for granted?
Today, let’s remember that Christ has set us free.
