The Volume of God’s Voice

June 18, 2014

Glad our cell phones come with volume buttons.

Two people who call me fairly regularly give mine a work out.  When one calls I frantically punch the volume down, but when the other person calls I have to turn on the Speaker option just to hear.

Scripture says that God’s voice comes in a variety of ways, too — seemingly one time in a “gentle whisper” (1st Kings 19:12, 13), but then another time  “God’s voice was like the roar of rushing waters” (Ezekiel43:3).

Let’s especially listen for that voice today.

And just like with our phones, we might have make some adjustments to hear and understand clearly.

Great analogy Joe. Thanks for this one! I appreciate your ability to express things in a way that we can remember & apply to our daily life. Adjusting my volume button now 🙂
