Nice Resume. What Else You Got?
That’s the title of Jason Fried’s “Get Real” column in the May 2014 issue of Inc. magazine.
“We have tons of qualified candidates for a key open position,” he writes, “but I’m looking for more than qualifications.”
Co-founder of software company Basecamp, Jason is looking for effort.
“Unfortunately, effort is rare,” he concludes.
I wonder if our Lord ever feels that way about us?
“Faith without works is dead,” says James 2:17. Ouch.
Yes, we’re saved by faith and not by works. Like a song says, “Grace alone, which God provides.”
But there’s a difference in the words Vacation and Vocation.
