The Rev. Dr. Vance P. Ross and I traveled in the same denominational youth ministry circles, often roomed together at events, and stayed up too late telling too many stories.  Yesterday he wrote this, and it’s with his expressed permission that I share this with you —

Where you stand depends on where you sit!

Do you stand for love? For justice? For mercy?

If you stand and sit in those places

–worshipping God, following Jesus,

engaging the spirit

and in tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr.–

then behave that way.

Talk time is great but standing for right is better!

Oh, be inspired today!

Sit in the required God places

so you can stand for love and justice!
