Never in a Hurry
“Though I am always in haste,
I am never in a hurry.”
—John Wesley
Mr. Wesley knew his purpose. He had focus.
So did the One we serve: The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor, He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor, said Jesus. (Luke 4:18,19)
Lot packed in there: good news…freedom…healing…opportunity…and God’s favor.
Which of those resonates deepest for you today? Give that some prayerful thought. Don’t rush it. Pray and listen.
I have. It’s not easy for some of us.
But today, there’s a specific situation where I can bring good news. Please pray that I’ll follow through with what God’s inviting me to do in this instance today.
And I’d love to do the same for you; let me hear from you here, or on Facebook, or in an email, text or around town.
Let’s focus together. But let’s not be in a hurry.
