This Includes You and Me
This includes you and me.
Of all places, it’s from Charge Conference, the annual business meeting of local churches in our denomination.
“All who take upon themselves the name of Christ,” one section of the agenda starts, “are called into ministries of love and service by the example of Christ.”
These “ministries of love and service” include behind-the-scenes administration as well as the more obvious and even fun stuff.
But notice that there are no exclusions here: “All who take upon themselves the name of Christ are called into ministries of love and service by the example of Christ.”
By the grace of God, this includes you and me.
