Bishop Jonathan D. Keaton of The Illinois Great Rivers Conference was recently the preacher in our church.
Between the several scheduled events that day there was a moment when it was just the two of us.
He asked questions about a project I’m involved in and listened to my answer.
He really listened.
I know that, because when I asked him for advice about the next step he gave a thoughtful and helpful directive.
That was only possible because he had listened to my details of the current status of the project.
Bishop Keaton listens.
