Standing Firm in That Freedom
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free, St. Paul wrote in Galatians 5:1.
He went on, Stand firm , then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
It’s easy for me to lose the balance it takes to stand firm — I can enjoy my freedom in Christ so much that I become a slave to what God intended to be a good thing.
And I can also forget that it was Christ who set me free and become not just self-centered but self-righteous.
