New Every Morning…Including Today

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed
for his compassions never fail.

great is your faithfulness.

“How is it with your soul?”
That’s a question the early Methodists asked one another.
It’s a present tense question.
Answers that began, “Five years ago” were not allowed.
Nor were ones that started, “As soon as I…” or “Someday I’ll…..”
“How is it with your soul?” asks what’s going on today between you and God.
From the Old Testament comes this reminder that God’s always ready for us to make a fresh start, right here and right now:
Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed

They are new every morning.
