Wouldn’t Take Nothing: trading places, part 5 of 5.
Q. Whom would you trade places with for a day?
A. Nobody. Why would I want somebody else’s life?

This week our time together here has been an appreciation of what a friend of mine would call The Narrative Arc of our lives.
Maya Angelou’s now-classic Wouldn’t Take Nothing for My Journey Now took its title from a gospel song that says,
Well, I started out travelin’ for the Lord many years ago,
I’ve had a lot of heartache, I’ve met a lot of grief and woe.
But when I would stumble,
then I would humble down,
And there I would say
I wouldn’t take nothing for my journey now.
By the grace of God, may that be true for us when we look back over our lives.
Meanwhile, what are you going to do today to make the journey worthwhile?
