Look and See
Behold, I am making all things new.
—Jesus, Revelation 21:5
Behold sounds so fancy and poetic in Revelation 21:5, but it’s also translated as Look and even simply See.
I’m tempted to make it read something like Pay Attention Here Now, Joe! Am I? Are you? Do we notice what new thing God is up to right now?
Join me in praying that today we “Open our eyes.”
As a somewhat contemporary Christian song says, “Open the eyes of my heart, Lord.”
