The God of Hope Says So
The Gospel is not a pat on the back for good people.
It is comfort for grieving people.
Hope for broken people.

Now matter how it might look, it’s not hopeless.
You’re not hopeless, either.
Our friend St. Paul wrote, “The God of hope shall fill you with all joy and peace by faith, that you shall superabound in God’s hope by the power of The Spirit of Holiness.” [Aramaic Bible in Plain English (©2010)]
God’s promised that you and I’ll not just have a little hope, but like this translation says, we “shall superabound in God’s hope.”
Don’t you love that? “You shall superabound in God’s hope.”
How? “By the power of The Spirit of Holiness,” concludes Paul in Romans 15:13.
How? As we say in our ritual during The Sacrament of Baptism, “All this is God’s gift.”
Ask.
You’re not hopeless.
The God of Hope says so.
