Not Directions for Saving Myself
He wrote that green-covered book that taught me first year New Testament Greek.
J. Graham Machen also wrote volumes more, including this gem:
“What I need is not exhortation,
but a Gospel;
not directions for saving myself,
but knowledge
of how God has saved me.”
That line will be echoed by many people in many ways today, undoubtedly even some of us.
May God give us ears to hear so that we may share The Good News.
