How Many Fathers Do You Have?
“We’re all raised by many fathers in our lives,” writes novelist Brad Meltzer in The Inner Circle.
He expresses succinctly what many of us have known or felt instinctively. Fresh out of seminary, I found myself on Mother’s Day and Father’s Day thanking God in my pastoral prayers for those were like mothers or fathers to us at various times in our lives.
Some of the “many fathers” in my life include my uncle and a professor.
