The Larry Corollary
My mom’s primary guide for life seems to be “Enjoy every moment.”
To which my dad would smile and add something along the lines of, “If at all possible. If not, apply The Serenity Prayer.”
Quick review: The Serenity Prayer is this —
“God, grant me
the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to distinguish the one from the other.
Amen.”
Which of those are you needing today, Ruth’s Rule or Larry’s Corollary?
Most days I need both of them.
