Oops, Left That on the Plane Yesterday
“We could leave our strategic plan on an airplane,
and it wouldn’t matter.
It’s all about execution.”
— John Stumpf, CEO of Wells Fargo, Dec. 3rd, 2012 issue of Fortune, p.6
Dreams, goals, plans and intentions are all good. But they’re not enough.
Knowing where we’re going is good, but it’s not enough. Driving with a GPS might be more helpful than an map, but we still have to get on the road.
The CEO of America’s largest bank, Well Fargo (with its $170 million market cap), says, “We could leave our strategic plan on an airplane, and it wouldn’t matter. It’s all about execution.”
The New Testament puts like this: “Someone will say, ‘You have faith; I have deeds.’ Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do.” (James 2:18)
