“An Application of Love” — This I Know, #11 of 11

November 9, 2012

“We know that we have passed from death to life”

—1st John 3:14

This is the last in a short series of things we can know.

We’ve been working our way from the end of this brief New Testament book towards its beginning, and there are other Knowing statements still waiting for us in 1st John.

Maybe we’ll get back into this before too long.  Maybe you could start at 1st John 1:1 and see for yourself what’s there.  I’d love to hear what you discover.

Meanwhile, let’s celebrate this phenomenal verse today:  “We know that we have passed from death to life.”

It’s already happened, by the grace of God.

And we can remind ourselves and others of this reality as we follow the prescription of  the next phrase in 1st John 3:14: “We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love other people.”

Not sure you’ve passed from death to life?  Take your Loving Pulse.  If it’s weak, review yesterday’s entry here.  Like it says on some medicines, “Apply as needed.”

I’d love to hear from you about this, and I’ll see you back here soon.

Meanwhile, there are people all around us that need an application of love.
