Arise and Do What?
“Arise, shine”
— Isaiah 60:1
What are we waiting for?
It’s time.
Right now.
What’s one thing you can do today to follow this direction?

From what some of our bishops are doing; what is happening in our country; though not Christ like- the bird that sticks it’s head in the ground is looking real good.

Melody, “Ri-se and shi-ne and give God the glory-glory…” That’s what memory came to mind and of course I learned it at Aldersgate! When the kids were small, I would go to the bottom of the stairs and sing that song as loud as I could to get them up on school days. We were on a trip one time, my sister-in-law and our niece shared one of the double beds. My daughter and I shared the other and my daughter’s boyfriend (now husband) was on sleeping bags and blankets on the flloor in the corner (he was going to pay for a room and them share it, but, I objected and compromised). Anyway, I started singing the song to try to get the girls awake. Later, Trav told me that he learned it in Sunday school; he’s Lutheran. It’s universal! That is this brought to my mind!
