Is it really that simple?
“For God so loved the world” is how Jesus started his summary.
Those six words are the opening of John 3:16.
Probably the best simple version of The Gospel of Christ, and it starts like that.
God. Loved. The world.
Seems pretty clear.
Today, let’s you and me pray for grace keep it simple: “For God so loved the world.”
Is it really that simple?
Jesus seems to think so.
And I don’t want to try to correct Jesus.

It should be that easy but we have the habit of getting ourselves so caught up in rules and doctrine that we end up ostracizing people and ideas. We’re so busy trying to live our denominational standards that we forget that all we need to do is live and love like Jesus. If we made that our one standard, we’d be in a much better place as a church and as individual followers of Christ.
