Holy Thursday (…but, aren’t they all?!)
“Take him! He’s yours to crucify.”
Our church’s Maundy Thursday Cantata was this evening, and our Choir was outstanding. Soloists, Narrator, the Jazz Trio, lighting, everything — excellence beyond belief.
But one line completely nailed me and will haunt me.
It was Pilate, into a sudden and unexpected silence: “Take him! He’s yours to crucify.”
Wow.
