Kim Helps Me Learn About Different Colors

January 4, 2012

“I don’t like the red ones.  Silver we have all the time.  I only like the green ones.  They’re the best.”

So spoke the child, shoving aside red and silver ones in the candy dish in our front office.  And who then grabbed several Hershey’s Kisses in green wrappers before running out the office door.

Kim and I looked at each other.  (Kim and Conni run our office.)  Kim laughed, “Aren’t they all the same?”

We both reached into the candy bowl for a red one.

And a green one.

And, purely in the interest of scientific accuracy, a silver one as well.

Carefully unwrapping each in succession, we both sampled our three pieces of candy.

We agreed they tasted the same.

“Just as I suspected!  All three are delicious!”

“So…it really doesn’t matter what the outside looks like….”

“Yeah, all the same on the inside.”

“I think I hear a Children’s Sermon, don’t you?”
