Please allow me to introduce myself

To quote another classic rock band (arguably The World’s Greatest Rock ‘n’ Roll Band), “Please allow me to introduce myself.”

Like it says above here, I am Patty’s husband.   And happily so.  Have been for 14 years, 3 months and 8 days, but who’s counting?

And I’m also Joseph’s dad.  Again, happily so.  He lives in Cincinnati and I am proud of him and all that he’s doing.

And I am a United Methodist pastor.  And again, happily so.  It’s my honor to get to work with delightful people and share life with them.

More about all three of those as we move forward together.  They sure are not the sum total of who I am, but are good places to start.

To quote another old band (thank you, Jae, for reminding me of this song recently), “Who are you? I really wanna know.”

And the answer is not “I am the walrus” (sorry, Johnny Vee, couldn’t resist).
