Robinson, IL – News 10 is following a developing story at this time. 

Fire crews are on scene of a fire at the First United Methodist Church in Robinson, Illinois.

The church is located on Walnut Street in Robinson. 

The fire started around 6:00 P.M. Tuesday evening. 

Nine fire departments were called out to the scene. 

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.”

Please keep everyone involved in this in your prayers; the people who are this church would do the same for us.

  1. Oh no! When my sister lived in Robinson that was her Church. Back then her minister was named Jud, if I remember correctly. because that was many years ago. I attended there with her when I was a kid. Prayers for all involved.

      Jud Souers? Lives in AZ now?

      Was influential on a ton of us!

  2. My parents and older sister retell over and over about the year they drove home from Decatur on Christmas Eve and a small country church was on fire. Heartbreaking- many prayers to the Robinson congregation.

    1. Yikes, Libby! Imagine those flames against the sky…wild sight for sure.

      Know that Robinson’s current pastor, Rev. Tiffany Black, is great. Nonetheless, cannot imagine what this must be like for all involved.
