ASBURY REVIVAL 2023: quenching the Spirit?

Guy Bowman, fellow Asburian, summarizes quite well why the changes in venue and more are necessary, even as some are screaming heresy and blasphemy etc. —-

The college has an obligation to its students in terms of classes, education, etc. This outpouring is much different than the “revival of 1970” in that social media has attracted thousands of people to Wilmore which lacks the infrastructure to accommodate so many guests. The town has only 6000 inhabitants. The local police force has been overwhelmed as you can imagine. And security is an issue. The Kinlaw Library is right next to Hughes, and two men’s dormitories are just a few yards up the hill from the auditorium.
