Happy Holidays or Half-Way Hollowed Daze?

December! Even in 2022, it seems busier than some people remember! What to do?

To overstate the answer: Chill.

Which in this instance has nothing to do with the weather and everything to do with catching your breath, or maybe moments of Sabbath-Time, or even self care.

John Pavlovitz has come up with daily practices that are so good and so simple and so do-able that you and I are going to spend this week looking at them one at a time.

Here we go —

Engage and withdraw. 

In addition to your activism, take time for “inactivism.” Withdraw into whatever allows you to breathe and recalibrate: silence, solitude, nature, prayer, yoga, meditation.
 

— You’ll never know until you try. (Yes, that’s from an old song by the trio called America.)
