CLUB 444: Looking Ahead

I find this fascinating and frustrating.

Some of the largest United Methodist Churches have left, not on ideological/theological issues but largely it appears like pastors who wanted to take their church and leave. This hits at the GMC/WCA as well as at the UMC.

As a pastor who is going to STAY UMC I truly wish those who wanted to leave would have had the integrity to leave and plant new instead of taking what was resourced to them (not just by them).

I am hopeful that they will support accountability to one another, but ultimately I’m simply sad for another space that the church has not been reflected well to others in my opinion.
